What this website does with your data

Almost nothing. This is a static website: a few HTML files, one stylesheet and some images. There is no database behind it, no account system, and no form to fill in.

What we do not do

• We do not set any cookies. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for preferences.
• We do not run analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixels, no tracking scripts.
• We do not collect, store or sell personal data through this website.
• We do not embed third-party video, social widgets, comment systems or advertising.
• There are no accounts, no logins and no newsletter sign-up.

Because nothing on this site requires consent, there is no cookie banner. A banner asking you to accept cookies we do not set would be theatre.

What happens when you click a contact button

Every contact button on this site — including “Request the Kubo build” and “Join playtesting” — is an ordinary mailto: link. Clicking it opens your own email app with the address and subject line pre-filled. Nothing is sent anywhere until you write a message and press send yourself.

If you do email us, we receive whatever you put in that email, in our inbox, like any other email. We use it to reply to you and to keep track of build requests and playtesting interest. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your address to anyone else. Ask us to delete your email and we will.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Netlify. Like every web host, Netlify's servers process the technical information your browser sends in order to deliver the page — things such as your IP address, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string. That is standard infrastructure logging, not something we set up to observe visitors, and we do not use those logs to build any profile of you. Netlify's own privacy documentation covers how it handles that data.

Fonts

The site's two typefaces, Archivo and Space Grotesk, are loaded from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives your IP address as part of serving those files. We plan to self-host the fonts, which will remove that request entirely. Nothing else on the page loads from a third party.

Children

This website is an information page about a studio and a game in development. It is not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If we ever add analytics, a form, or anything else that touches your data, we will update this page before it goes live, not after. If this page ever stops matching what the site actually does, that is a bug — tell us.
